SWIR Coating Plano-Convex Lenses
These Plano-Convex Lenses are manufactured using BK7 (N-BK7) compliant RoHS, and coated AR SWIR coating, 1000-1650nm. N-BK7 is probably the most commonly used optical glass for the production of high-quality optical components.
N-BK7 glass is almost the most economical material to choose when the additional advantages of ultraviolet fused quartz (high transmittance and lower coefficient of thermal expansion all the way up to the UV band) are not required.
Tc---------- Center Thickness
Te---------- Edge Thickness
R1---------- Radius
Dia---------- Diameter
H'-------------- Principal Point
BFL ---------- Back Focal Length
EFL ---------- Effective Focal Length
f'--------------- Focus
The Focal Length of each lens can be calculated using the simplified thick lens formula:
f=R/(n-1)
Where n is the refractive index and R is the radius of curvature of the lens surface.

Like all Plano-Convex Lenses, these lenses have a positive focal length, are close to the best shape lenses, and are suitable for applications with infinite and finite conjugation ratios. They can focus collimated beams or collimated point light sources.
In order to minimize spherical aberration, the collimated beam should be incident on the convex surface of the lens when focusing, and the point source should be incident on the plane surface of the lens.
N-bk7 Plano-Convex Lenses can also be coated with AR Coating
- -A: AR@400-700nm,
- -B: AR@650-1050nm,
- -C: AR@1000-1650nm,
anti-reflection coating can reduce the reflectivity of each surface of the lens.
